Creating an offline area fails for any web map containing a feature service layer with a definition query on a date field.

Workaround

Use a non-date field to apply the query definition to the layer. Add a new field to the feature class, assign new values to the features based on their date attribute, and use the field for the definition query. For example, in the features with dates from 10/1/2020 to 12/31/2020, calculate the new field with 'Q4'.
