Attempting to add a specific band from a multiband raster to the Raster Domain tool using the folder navigation option in the pane returns the Error 999999 and a generic error message.

Workaround

Add a single band to the map through the Catalog pane. 

1. Navigate to the Catalog pane and click the grey triangle to the left of the raster name to expand the raster.
2. Select any of the bands, drag and drop the band into the map. The band is drawn in the map and used as input for geoprocessing tools.
