arcpy.Describe with data path as a parameter doesn't return the default aliasName for a geodatabase feature class or table.

If the alias has not been set in the table properties dialog, the alias box shows the table name, but the alias has not actually been set.Workaround
1. Load the data to ArcMap and use the layer/table name as arcpy.Describe() parameter, such as arcpy.Describe("testtable")" instead of the data path.2. Design your script logic to assume a null return of "arcpy.Describe().aliasName" indicates "arcpy.Describe().Name".Schritte zur Reproduzierung
