A data error is returned for the selector, indicator, and serial chart elements when using ArcGIS API for Python to clone a dashboard and map to new source layers.

This is a known limitation of the dashboard API.

Workaround

  1. If an element other than the serial chart is used, open the cloned dashboard in edit mode and reselect the layer to resolve the data source error.
  2. In ArcGIS Online Assistant, paste the working 'layerID' from the other elements into the serial chart.
