Procedure
To change the permissions on a folder:
- On Windows XP
A. Open Windows Explorer.
B. Browse to the folder that needs to be changed.
C. Right-click on the folder and select 'Properties'.
D. Select the 'Security' tab.
To edit the permissions for an existing group, select that group name and change Permissions to either Allow or Deny.
To add a new group, click the 'Add' button. Scroll through the 'Name' portion until the group to be added is found and click the 'Add' button. Grant the necessary permissions for the group and click OK.
- On Windows 2000
A. Open Windows Explorer.
B. Browse to the folder that needs to be changed.
