Occaisionally it is necessary to deprecate specific functionalities and/or platforms to continue delivering optimal support for the remaining ESRI software functionalities and platforms.
At the ArcGIS 9.3.1 and upcoming ArcGIS 9.4 releases, ESRI has a number of changes in our functionality and platform support. The ArcGIS 9.3.1 and 9.4 Deprecation Plan document provides details on these planned deprecations.
