HowTo: Convert a line feature to a polygon feature at the ArcEditor license level

Users at the ArcEditor license level can follow the steps below to convert lines to polygons.

Create a new empty polygon shapefile or feature class, making sure to apply the correct coordinate system.
Add the existing line feature and the newly created polygon layer to a map document.
Start an edit session and set the target to the polygon shapefile or feature class.
Right-click the polyline layer in the table of contents and select Selection > Select All.
Add the Topology toolbar.
Click the Construct Features icon on the Topology toolbar. -show me-
In the Construct Features dialog box, select 'Create new polygons from selected features' and click OK.
Save edits and stop editing.
