HowTo: Identify which ArcIMS WMS connector is used

ESRI makes several WMS connectors and this article will help identify which connector is used.

To determine the version and product information for WMS Connector one of these URLs need to be used.

URL for ArcIMS WMS-OGC Connector Version

http://<hostname>/servlet/com.esri.wms.Esrimap?cmd=connectorping

URL for WMS Connector 1.0

http://<hostname>/wmsconnector/com.esri.wsit.WMSServlet?cmd=connectorping

URL for WMS Connector 0.0.6

http://<hostname>/ogcwms/servlet/com.esri.ogc.wms.WMSServlet?cmd=connectorping

The ArcIMS WMS-OGC Connector is installed with ArcIMS. Download the WMS Connector 1.0 and 0.0.6 first from the ESRI Interoperability Technology Download Center, then install.
