Error Message

When loading any software from the CD, the following error may occur:

"Error 1335: The cabinet file 'ArcGIS1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used."

Cause

This is a known issue.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve the issue use one of the following two options below:

  • Option 1:
    Copy the contents of the CD locally to the hard drive and then run the setup.exe file.
  • Option 2:
    1. Load the CD into the CDROM drive on another computer on the network.

    2. Map the CDROM drive to your machine using Window's map network drive option.

    3. Browse to this mapped drive and install from the CD.
