Description

ArcMap will crash with an application error if an XYEvent layer is generated from an Access 2000 view (query) table.

Cause

This occurs when the connection to the Access file was made using the OLE DB provider for ODBC sources and an existing ODBC DSN.

Solution or Workaround

Make the connection to the Access 2000 file using the Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB provider.
