This patch addresses an issue where opening any geoprocessing dialog or the context sensitive “Export” menu choices in ArcCatalog caused the ArcGIS 9.1 applications to crash when users have Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) on their machine.
ESRI® announces the ArcGIS 9.1 Desktop Patch for Internet Explorer 7 Users. This patch addresses an issue where opening any geoprocessing dialog or the context sensitive Export menu choices in ArcCatalog caused the ArcGIS 9.1 applications to crash when users have Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) on their machine. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.
We recommend ArcGIS 9.1 users, who have installed Internet Explorer 7 (IE7)
on their machine, to install this patch at their earliest convenience to ensure
the highest quality experience.

ArcGIS Desktop 9.1 Service Pack 1 must be installed before you can install this Patch.
NOTE: If you have installed client setups from a shared Network Administrative ArcGIS
Desktop setup, this Patch must be applied to all client installations.
