The vision for the ArcGIS Cadastre Data Model is to provide a generic data model based on the basic principles of the Cadastre 2014 concept. "Cadastre 2014" is the result of the FIG-Commission 7 working group 1 "Vision Cadastre", looking at trends and developing visions for cadastral systems. The working group under the leadership of Jurg Kaufmann was active 1994-1998, and the report from the results presented at the FIG-Congress in Brighton in 1998 can be found at the Cadastre 2014 website.

Downloads - Design Templates

The Design Templates are the result of the community-based design process. The general concepts and terms for this discipline are described here. Tools and examples to create a template data model are also included for advanced users.

User Community

A reference manual, utilities, tools, and test data can be found at the Interlis website. The ideas included in the report were discussed with a number of cadastral researchers and practitioners from various countries through workshops and other exchanges. Contributors included Jürg Kaufmann, Prof. Paul van der Molen the Chair of FIG commission 7, Cadastre and Land Management, Prof. Peter van Oosterom of Delft University, Christiaan Lemmen of Netherlands Cadastre/ITC, and others. These discussions offered a unique opportunity to understand and analyze various, specific requirements and ideas being tested in different countries.
