Error Message

When attempting to run the Append Data geoprocessing tool in Business Analyst Desktop, the following error message is received:
 

Error:   
"This list was created for another layer.”

Cause

The error may be caused by any of the following issues:

• The variables in the list do not match the base data but it does match the online data
• Users attempt to perform Spatial Overlay Append using one of the saved variables from the Use Saved Variable List drop-down
• Users attempt to use a custom variable list created using a previous version of Business Analyst Desktop with a newer version of Business Analyst Desktop even with the same trade area, same dataset, and the same subscription to the new Business Analyst Online
• A standard variable selected from the Use Saved Variable List drop-down is used with a user's trade area
