PROBLEM

Unable to reconcile and post when archiving is enabled

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

Reconciling and posting a geodatabase version may fail if there are one or more archived feature classes. In this case, the index of the archived feature class may need to be rebuilt.

Cause

The spatial index of the archived feature class is not in synch with the index of the edited feature class.

Solution or Workaround

The spatial index of the archived feature class can be recalculated using the sdelayer -o alter command.

  1. Check the spatial index of the edited feature class (named 'states' in this example) with the sdelayer -o describe_long command.
    [O-Image]
  2. Check the spatial index of the archived feature class ('states_H') with the sdelayer -o describe_long command.
    [O-Image]
  3. Recalculate the spatial index of archived feature class to match the spatial index of the edited feature class using the sdelayer -o alter command.
    Code:
    C:\>sdelayer -o alter -l states_H,shape -u wilson -p wilson -i 5151 -g 20,0,0,FULL
