FAQ: How Come some ZIP Code Records in the ZIP 5 Layer Has a Blank County Field?

Answer

ZIP Code boundaries, in many cases, do not follow the county boundaries. There are some ZIP Codes that extend from one county into another. The BusinessMAP ZIP Code database does not identify a county for those ZIPs that cross county lines.
