Error: The SuperPro Driver is not installed on this system

Error Message

The Display Hardware Key Status utility displays this message:

"The SuperPro Driver is not installed on this system".

Cause

There are two conditions under which this error may be generated:

1. The ArcGIS concurrent use license manager has been installed, but the Sentinel SuperPro Driver has been removed from the system.

2. International editions of single-use versions of ArcGIS Desktop require a hardware key in order to operate. In this case, the Sentinel SuperPro Driver has not been installed.

Solution or Workaround

In either case above, the Sentinel SuperPro Driver needs to be installed or reinstalled to address this error.

Note:
The license manager that is included in pre ArcGIS 9.3 releases is not supported on Windows Vista. In this case, download and install the newest version of the ArcGIS license manager from the link below.

  1. In cases where this error occurs on a machine running the ArcGIS concurrent use license manager, reinstall the license manager per instructions at this link:

    Note:
    The hardware key requirement for concurrent use installations of ArcGIS Desktop may be disregarded if the 'Keyless' version of the license manager is installed. In this case, no Sentinel SuperPro Driver is necessary.
