How To: Change ArcPad's Applets path if the path information be incorrect

Summary

ArcPad can be used to specify default map and data, system files, and applet file paths.

The Applets path can be changed in the ArcPad Options dialog box. The ArcPad Options dialog box contains seven tabs, including the Paths tab which can be used to specify default folders or directories that ArcPad searches for startup files and when adding layers.

Procedure

The ArcPad Options dialog box is accessed by tapping the Tools button on the Main toolbar.

In the 'Other Additional Paths' field, select Applets to specify the directory name for the applets folder(s). ArcPad searches the default Applets path as well as the specified folder(s) for applet files to automatically load when
ArcPad starts.

The default is the Applets folder below the installation folder.

Select Styles to specify the directory name for the styles folder(s). ArcPad searches the default Styles path as well as the specified folder(s) for style files to automatically load when ArcPad starts.

The default is the Styles folder below the installation folder.

Select Extensions to specify the directory name for the extensions folder(s). ArcPad searches the default Extensions path as well as the specified folder(s) for extension files to automatically load when ArcPad starts.

The default is the Extensions folder below the installation folder.

It is possible to specify multiple folders for the Default Maps & Data, Applets, Styles, and Extensions paths by separating the folders with a semicolon. For example, it is possible to specify the Applets path as the following: C:\Program Files\ArcPad 7.1\Applets;D:\MyApplets
