Strange characters in Data Interoperability connection dialog boxes on some Windows XP SP2 and SP3 computers

Description

Strange characters are displayed in the Data Interoperability connection dialog boxes on some Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Service Pack 3 (SP3) computers.

Note:
This issue has been addressed 9.3.1.

Cause

This is a known issue due to using the Windows Classic theme.

Workaround

1. Navigate to Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Click the Theme tab.
3. Click the Theme drop-down menu and select 'Windows XP'.
4. Click OK.
   
   

   Note:
   Some testing results have shown that it may be possible to switch back to the previous modified theme after changing it to the Windows XP theme.
