Raster does not display in raster catalog after using 'sderaster -o insert'

Description

After adding a TIF/BSQ raster(s) to an SDE raster catalog using the 'sderaster -o insert' command, the raster does not display when the catalog is previewed in ArcMap or ArcCatalog.

Cause

The footprint of the raster catalog needs to be updated.

Solution or Workaround

1. Right-click on the raster catalog in ArcCatalog > Update Footprints...
2. Click OK on the 'Update Raster Catalog Footprint' dialog box.
   
   
3. Refresh the database, and then preview the raster catalog.
