PROBLEM
ArcMap changes map page size back to 8.5" x 11" or A4 after upgrading printer driver
Description
ArcMap changes map page size back to 8.5" x 11" or A4 after upgrading printer driver.
Cause
This can happen due to one or more of the following reasons:
· If the printer manufacturer changes the names of the paper sizes in the driver, ArcMap cannot find the correct paper size that is stored in the map document.
· If the printer manufacturer changes the name of the printer name used in the driver, ArcMap cannot find the printer name stored in the map document.
· If the person performing the printer driver update changes the printer share name, ArcMap cannot find the printer name stored in the map document.
· If the printer manufacturer changes the name of the printer name used in the driver, ArcMap cannot find the printer name stored in the map document.
· If the person performing the printer driver update changes the printer share name, ArcMap cannot find the printer name stored in the map document.
Solution or Workaround
Reset the printer, paper size, and orientation on the ArcMap Page and Print Setup and resave the map document.Article ID:000010105
