Business Analyst: "Your Drive Time Area might not be built correctly due to solver limits"

Description

A warning is encountered when trying to create a large drive time trade area:

"Your Drive Time Area might not be built correctly due to solver limits."


If the user selects OK to proceed, the analysis may error out.

Cause

The Trade Area Drive Time minutes are too large for the detailed street network to process.

Solution or Workaround

1. Change the Network Dataset to run off of the connectorsrte dataset.
2. On the Business Analyst toolbar, click the Business Analyst drop-down menu and click Preferences. On the Dataset tab, click the browse folder for the Streets Network.
3. In the Specify Network Dataset dialog, browse to and add the connectorsrte SDC Network Dataset from <drive>:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Business Analyst\Data\StreetMapData\trans folder.
   
   
4. Run the large drive time.
5. Once the large drive time has been run, restore the street network to point to the detailed streets instead of the connectors road network.
6. On the Business Analyst toolbar, click the Business Analyst drop-down menu and click Preferences. On the Dataset tab, click the browse folder for Streets Network.
7. Browse to and add the 'streets' SDC Network Dataset from <drive>:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Business Analyst\Data\StreetMapData\trans folder.
