Frequently asked question

Does ArcGIS support the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC)?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Answer

Yes, ArcGIS 9.2, 9.3 and 10.0 Desktop Products support the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) as defined by the Office of Management and Budget.

Esri has tested this configuration and fully supports it with the ArcGIS Desktop 9.2, 9.3 and 10.0 releases.

The ArcGIS Desktop Products tested on this configuration include:

- ArcView
- ArcEditor
- ArcInfo Desktop
- ArcInfo Workstation
- ArcGIS Desktop Extensions
- ArcGIS Engine Runtime
- ArcReader
Since the FDCC requirements focus on desktop and not server use, the ArcGIS Server and ArcIMS products have not been tested on this configuration.

Versions of ArcGIS Desktop Products prior to ArcGIS 9.2 have not been tested with the FDCC configuration.
