Incorrect URL for map services returns 'The page cannot be displayed'

Error Message

In ArcCatalog > ArcGIS Server - Map Service Properties dialog box > Capabilities tab, the URL displayed for DefaultMap and/or BA_Detailed map services is incorrect and displays the following error message:

"The page cannot be displayed".

Cause

The client requires the URL in the long format to access Web service(s).

Solution or Workaround

1. Make sure the Business Analyst Server URL is valid. This ensures that the DefaultMap and/or BA_Detailed Web services URLs are correct.
2. If the URL is incorrect, delete it and recreate a new administrative connection to the Business Analyst Server, specifying the long format Business Analyst Server URL in ArcCatalog.
