Director Player Error

Error Message

When installing ArcGIS Desktop from the DVD installation disk, the following error message displays:

"Director Player Error – cannot divide by zero, script error continue?" or "Director Player Error - This application requires an Xtra (Text) that either does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Please make sure the appropriate Xtras are in the Xtras folder(s)."

Cause

The error is a message from Microsoft that is related to an incompatibility reading graphics from the DVD.
