Remove GDBT toolset from ArcMap toolbars

Summary

** This article only applies to ArcGIS 9.2 and earlier. **

The Geodatabase Toolbar (GDBT toolset) remains displayed in ArcMap even after removing the toolbar by navigating to View > Toolbars. Instructions provided describe how to remove the GDBT toolset from the toolbar list in ArcMap.

Note:
The GDBT toolbar is a free extension available from ESRI and supported by way of ESRI Discussion Forums.

Procedure

The following solution removes the GDBT toolset from the toolbar list in ArcMap making it unusable in ArcMap, but still allows for its use in ArcCatalog.

  1. Navigate to Start > Run, type cmd and click OK.
  2. Change the directory to C:\Program Files\GDBT\GDBT_ArcMap.
  3. Type the following and press enter:

    Code:
    uninstall.bat

  4. Delete or change the name of the folder GDBT_ArcMap.
