User password is not saved in an ArcWeb Services published map

Description

When publishing a map document that contains ArcWeb services layers, the option to store the user name and password in the Publisher options does not save the password.

Cause

The 'IMS Layer Password' option must also be set in the Publisher Settings.

Solution or Workaround

1. Navigate to Tools > Online Services > Sign into ArcWeb Services. This activates the ArcWeb Services in the Map, and the option in the Publisher Settings.
2. From the Publisher toolbar, navigate to Publisher > Settings. Click the Security tab, check on the options for both 'IMS Layer Password' and 'ArcWeb Services Login and Password'.
   

   Check the 'IMS Layer Password' and the 'ArcWeb Services Login and Password' options.
