Description

When starting or trying to access 3D Analyst or ArcScene, the following error message is displayed:

"Application Error The instruction at 0x005f5c91 referenced memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate, cancel to debug."

The conflict sometimes results in all of the available 3D Analyst licenses on a network to be 'in use' and unavailable to other users.

Cause

There is a software conflict between some versions of Earthsoft's EQuIS and ArcGIS 3D Analyst and/or ArcScene.
