HOW TO

Share objects across multiple Web services, including .NET 2.0

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Summary

Instructions provided describe how to use an object returned from one service as an input for another service in .NET 2.0.

Procedure

ArcWeb Services contains common objects, used in many web services. For example, the Route Finder Web Service implements a Geometry object, as does the Map Image Web Service.

When adding a Web reference, use the same web reference name for every ArcWeb Service added. Visual Studio then allows all of these web services to share objects.
