ArcMap help menu crashes

Description

When opening the help menu in ArcMap, the menu crashes and does not allow the user to view the help documents.

Cause

The help files must be re-registered.

1. Click Start > Run.
2. In the Run box, type cmd.
3. In the cmd window, type the following:

regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx

regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\itss.dll

4. Close the cmd window.
