Can layers be turned on and off in a REST map request?

Answer

REST v2006.1 mapping supports turning layers on and off in a request. For details, see the layer parameters for a getMap request.

REST v2006 mapping does not support turning layers on and off in the request; however, visible layers for SVG and SWF maps can be manipulated on the client-side.
