PDF files inserted as an object displays as icon in ArcMap

Description

PDF files inserted as an object only display as an icon in ArcMap layouts, even with 'Display As Icon' setting not checked.

Cause

This problem occurs when Adobe Reader 6.x is installed.

Solution or Workaround

Uninstall Adobe Reader 6.x and install Adobe Reader 7.x.
