FAQ: Can ArcMap Server Be Used with the WMS Connector for ArcIMS 4.0.1?

Answer

The WMS Connector is unsupported with ArcMap image services. Although the connector's administration interface allows enabling WMS instances based on these types of services, the connector was not designed to work with them. All development and OGC compliance tests were run against WMS instances based on standard image services.
