Error: The ArcWeb Services You Are Trying to Use Are Unavailable at the Moment

Error Message

While attempting to deploy the Routing Application Showcase Cold Fusion source code, the following error may occur:

"The ArcWeb Services you are trying to use are unavailable at the moment."

Cause

This error is the generic catch-all error message for this application.

Solution or Workaround

To discover the exact source of the problem, edit the \common\act_appWideError.cfm file and add the following code:

<cfdump var="#ERROR#">

This dumps a structure of what is in the error scope. The error.message should contain the SOAP error message.

Note:
This error is commonly caused by not completely setting up the preferences file. When setting up the preferences, verify the instructions in the readme.txt file have been followed. The readme.txt is included with the code download.
