The metadata created for custom geoprocessing environment setting does not appear on the dialog side-panel

Description

After a custom geoprocessing environment setting has been created it appears as an option on the Environment Settings dialog. However, the metadata created for it does not appear on the environment settings dialog side-panel.

Cause

The functionality that allows metadata for custom environment settings to display in the environment settings dialog side-panel is not available in ArcGIS 9.0.
