Why do I get a message that ArcIMS is not Authorized or licensed anymore?

Answer

The authorization files for ArcIMS 9.0 Pre-Release have a specific timeout date.
When that date occurs, the Spatial Server no longer functions.

If ArcIMS 9.0 is has been upgraded to the Final Release and was authorized using the Pre-Release .ecp file, ArcIMS no longer functions due to the timeout period. In such cases, a new license file must be requested from ESRI Customer Service.

The license is no longer extended for Pre-Release versions.
