Since universal kriging models trend, if the 'Order of Trend' is selected in the Geostatistical Method Selection tab in conjunction with universal kriging, Geostatistical Analyst uses a formula to estimate the mu(s), up to a third order polynomial, for the universal kriging function and uses different coefficients for each point where a prediction is made.
