Pie charts and legend patches with rounded corners are not drawn correctly

Description

Pie charts in the ArcMap table of contents as well as legend patches with rounded corners in legends on the ArcMap layout are not drawn correctly.

When a layer is symbolized with pie charts, instead of seeing correct round lines for the outline of the pie chart in the table of contents, there are straight lines that cut across the chart.

When using legend patches with rounded corners, instead of seeing correctly rounded corners, there is a straight line that cuts across the legend patch.

Cause

The driver for the Windows graphic adapter is out-of-date.

Workaround

1. Open up the Windows Control Panel.
2. Open the Display properties.
3. Click Settings.
4. Click Advanced.
5. Click Adapter.
6. Click Properties.
7. Click Driver.
8. Click Update Driver and follow the instructions.
