Procedure



  1. Open a DOS prompt from Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
  2. Change directory to the install location of ArcGIS. For example:

    ArcGIS 8.x:
    Code:
    C:\>cd C:\ArcGIS\arcexe8x\bin

    ArcGIS 9.0:
    Code:
    C:\>cd C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\bin

  3. Run the 'registerfixed' command as follows:

    ArcGIS 8.x:
    Code:
    C:\ArcGIS\arcexe8x\bin> registerfixed /query

    ArcGIS 9.0:
    Code:
    C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\bin> registerfixed9 /query


    The ArcView or ArcEditor Single Use registration number displays.
