Right clicking on selected text incorrectly opens the Dataframe Properties dialog box

Description

Right click on a selected piece of Geodatabase annotation, and select Properties. You will incorrectly get the Dataframe Properties dialog box. The Text Properties dialog box should appear.

Cause

This problem occurs if the annotation is projected on the fly, causing the dataframe to have a different coordinate system than the annotation feature class.

Solution or Workaround

• Avoid performing edits to your annotation when projected on the fly. This can be done by changing the coordinate system of the data frame to that of the annotation feature class.
• Double click on a selected piece of text to open the Text Properties dialog box.
