How To: Use Windows True Type Fonts in ARCEDITW

Summary

This article describes how to display Windows True Type Fonts in a DAK ARCEDITW session.

Procedure

  1. Click Options in the DAK graphics windows (usually labeled DAK.G0).
  2. Click Fonts.
  3. Choose the desired Font and Font Style/Effect parameters from the pull down menus. Make a note of what the Font Number is. The Font Number will be displayed and should start with the negative sign.
  4. Click the OK button.
  5. Choose File > Command. This will put you in command mode so you can type commands manually.
  6. Type

    EDITCOVERAGE [COVERAGE_NAME]

  7. Type

    Code:
    DRAWE ARC LABEL IDS

  8. Type

    Code:
    DRAW

    This will draw the Label ID's in the standard font.

    : COLOR: 1
    : STYLE: 1
    : FONT: <value from step 3>
    : QUALITY: 1
    : ANGLE: 0
    : WIDTH: 0

  10. Type

    Code:
    DRAW

    Now you will see the Label ID's drawn in the desired Windows True Type Font

    Note:
    For the display of ID's, only the TEXTSET | SYMBOL number 1 is utilized.
