Error: Invalid Object

Error Message

The VBScript CreateObject (FileSystemObject) works fine on a PC, but returns

"Invalid object"

on a Windows CE device.

Cause

There is no FileSystemObject available for CE.

Solution or Workaround

Use the File object from the ArcPad object model.

Note:
The File object provides platform independent file access, so the same code will work on a PC or CE device. Unless an ArcPad application is being developed explicitly for a PC environment, developers should always use the ArcPad File object. Embedded VB has a File object, but it is only available if an embedded VB application that has a reference to this control is installed.
