BUG

The size of vertices and lines of a sketch make editing difficult

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

When zooming in on a sketch to make fine edits, the size of the vertices and lines of the sketch make editing difficult.

Cause

A spatial reference has been set for the data frame. This causes the sketch symbology to scale with the data frame.

Workaround

Clear the reference scale.

  • For further information on clearing the reference scale in ArcGIS 8.x see the Using ArcMap topic Advanced symbology, or ArcGIS Desktop Help Contents tab > ArcMap > Symbolizing your data > Working with advanced symbolization > How to work with advanced symbols > Clearing a reference scale.
  • For further information on clearing the reference scale in ArcGIS 9.0 see the ArcGIS Desktop Help > Contents tab > ArcMap > Symbolizing your data > Working with reference scales > How to work with reference scales > Clearing a reference scale.
