Error when trying to administer Service - Data is accessed from a mounted file system
Error Message
When attempting to administer a service the following error is returned:
"Error when trying to administer Service. ArcIMS Service 'service name' cannot be created. Check your map file's layers and data source connections"
Cause
Data is accessed from a mounted file system
Solution or Workaround
In Windows, data sources should not be referred using mounted file systems, as ArcIMS services do not necessarily have the same permissions as the user logged in the mount.Article ID:000005168
