Change the location of the print spool folder

Summary

This document contains the steps necessary to change the location of the spool folder.

Procedure

Perform these steps on the computer directly connected to the printer. That could be a print server or the local workstation.

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Printers.
  2. Click the File pulldown menu and scroll to Server Properties.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Change the Spool folder path.
    Note:
    Ensure that the path selected has already been established.
