Incorrect number values returned via an OLE DB connection to an Oracle database

Description

When a connection to an Oracle database is made using the Oracle 8.1.7 OLE DB provider, the content of all numerical fields display as zero in ArcGIS applications.

Cause

This is a known issue with the Oracle 8.1.7 OLE DB provider.

Solution or Workaround



Use the Oracle 8.1.7 ODBC driver or the Oracle 8.1.6 OLE DB provider to make the connection to the database.
