Invalid Registration Number

Error Message

When registering a single use application with an incorrect registration number, the following error message occurs:

"Invalid Registration Number".

Cause

UNK numbers for ArcView Single Use, ArcEditor Single Use, and Single Use extensions must be issued for the exact version of ArcGIS being registered.

Upgrading from an older version of ArcGIS requires new UNK numbers.

Solution or Workaround

• Request a UNK number from ESRI Customer Service (or service.esri.com)that matches the appropriate version of ArcGIS and for each extension that will be used.
  
• Request an authorization file from ESRI Customer Service (or from service.esri.com) tht matches the appropriate version of ArcGIS.
