Optimize performance when performing spatial analysis

Summary

If you plan to run several spatial analysis functions on the same dataset, you can optimize their performance by first converting the dataset to a grid before running the functions.

Procedure

1. In ArcToolbox, under the Conversion Tools toolset, click the Import to Raster toolset and select the appropriate tool to convert your raster to a grid.
2. Perform your analysis using the converted grid.
