Wrong Version

Error Message

While installing the CAD Patch for ArcGIS 8.1, a "Wrong Version" error message is returned.

Cause

This is a known issue. The Desktop CAD Patch default installation directory is C:\arcexe81. However, the actual directory that ArcGIS is installed in may be different.

Solution or Workaround

1. Click the Back button on the Wrong Version dialog box.
2. Specify the directory where ArcGIS is installed on the Select Destination dialog box, for example, c:\arcgis\arcexe81.
3. Click OK.
   
   

   Note:
   You can create the BACKUP directory as a child to the arcgis directory.
