Cannot display the Euro symbol on Windows NT

Description

The Euro symbol can not be displayed in ArcMap.

Cause

This is a known limitation in Windows NT 4.0.

Solution or Workaround

• Install the Microsoft Euro support package for Windows NT 4.0. See link below.
• Use Windows 2000, which supports the Euro symbol by default.
  
  

  Note:
  Support for the Euro symbol was added to ArcMap for ArcGIS 8.1.2.
