Programmatically adding RasterCatalogLayer to a MapControl or to ArcMap fails

Description

When adding a RasterCatalogLayer to ArcMap or to a MapControl, programmatically, the RasterCatalogLayer does not display.

Cause

This is a known issue.

Solution or Workaround

This issue has been address in ArcGIS Version 8.1.2.
